Great food! From appetizers to pizza to dessert, all very good! They paced the food just fine (not sure why some reviewers complained about it) For a while we were the only ones in the restaurant (Americans eating early) but eventually a few couples showed up we didn’t mind as the setting is beautiful.

Absolutely the best experience. Really one of the best pizzas we have ever tried- and we have tried mani in all the different cities of Italy and the world! We went to Bari’s famous St Michelle pizza place a day before, and it’s it is not comparable to Virtu. Pizza was perfect size, flavorful and the crust was just made in heathen! Please go there and take every suggestion from the server NICOLA. The dried papers- local dish, I will miss it back in US. And for the desert- make sure to try the basil ice cream. So light, flavorful and now is my most favorite ice cream in Italy. Absolutely fantastic experience- the place itself looks so authentic and beautiful. No words! Just please be sure to BRING CASH FOR THE TIP, as they do not accept credit card tip. Also, please try the local beer- it is absolutely amazing. We have traveled across the Italy and this is our top 1 restaurant. Beautiful city too. MAKE SURE TO VISIT AND YOU WON’t BE DISAPPOINTED!

Wonderful dining experience, friendly service, and good food. They have wood fired pizza with all the classics. They also offer a variety of craft beers, most of which are bottled but two come spina/draft (a lager style and an amber). The peppers are cooked crispy like chips/crisps and not spicy. The tiramisu is excellent as well.

The pizza is extremely good and the waiters are very kind. The atmosphere is nice and the food is amazing. If you prefer a less touristic pizza it’s the place to be.

If you are staying in Matera and wondering where to eat, you must visit this restaurant it is honestly amazing! From the service to the pizzas to the desserts, 10/10!!!! We ordered the zucchini flower pizza (AMAZING and so unique never seen on a menu before) and the buffalina pizza (perfecto!). The ricotta mousse dessert and tiramisu were already superb! Such a great find for us and a very pleasant dining experience. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous as well!
